Payment

Medicare Patients

For those who have Medicare as their primary insurance provider, I accept Medicare assignment. This means that I bill Medicare directly for your physical therapy. Medicare pays 80% of the cost. Most people have a secondary insurance company that pays the remaining 20% of the cost, resulting in no financial burden to you. If you do not have a secondary insurance provider, you are responsible for the 20% that Medicare does not pay.   In order to qualify for physical therapy paid by Medicare, you must have a referral for physical therapy from you physician.

Non-Medicare Patients

For non-Medicare patients, I will bill your insurance company for you.  However, I am not in any of the insurance networks. This means that your copay is likely to be higher if you choose to receive your physical therapy treatment from me. How much higher depends on your particular insurance policy. Before deciding to make an appointment with me, you should call your insurance’s customer service and ask what your out-of- network physical therapy copay is. In addition, you should ask if you have a separate out-of-network deductible.  Your co-payment is expected at the time services are rendered.

Wellness Services

Wellness services are not typically covered by insurance policies, though occasionally they are. You should first check with your insurance company.
